ABOUT DR. JEN
HEALTHCARE
Dr. Jennifer Mackinnon, in addition to being a Primary Care Physician, has also been an Associate Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin for 16 years, teaching medical students and Internal Medicine residents.
ADVOCACY
Dr. Jen also participates in advocacy work, serving as the Vice Chair of the Health and Public Policy Committee for the American College of Physicians, Wisconsin Chapter; and has earned an Evergreen Award for this work.
ENVIRONMENTAL WORK
Outside of the medical field, she also serves as a board member of Restoring Lands and has lectured on how the environment impacts our health for Treasures of Oz. While on the board of Restoring Lands, formerly known as Ozaukee Washington Land Trust, she helped with the advocacy to acquire the pristine land, Clay Bluffs Cedar Gorge Preservation Area and the ongoing protection of the funding in Knowles Nelson Grant Foundation.

A Division I tennis player at Vanderbilt University during college, she has coached Middle School tennis at Lumen Christi Catholic School and served as an assistant coach at Steffen Middle School.
THE ARTS
Before becoming a doctor, she received an undergraduate and graduate degree in music. Blending the two, she founded Harps of Comfort to provide virtual music sessions for ICU patients during COVID and has done research in music and medicine.
